CONNECT WITH CRBN & EXPLORE ALL THERE IS TO OFFER
Just like blues societies the world over, the primary focus of the Capital Region Blues Network is to preserve America’s original indigenous art form, the blues. We strive to accomplish this through community blues events, blues education, and by continually increasing the level of blues music awareness.
The CRBN is dedicated to keeping the blues tradition alive in the Capital Region area by promoting the local blues music scene and bringing opportunities to blues musicians of all levels and aspiration. The Capital Region Blues Network serves an extensive geographic region that includes the metropolitan area surrounding Albany, New York, Western Massachusetts to the east, the Catskills to the west, the Adirondacks to the north and the lower reaches of the Upper Hudson Valley. By joining, you support the CRBN and become part of a group of folks who support the music, it’s musicians, and an organization that makes a positive difference in the lives of others by giving back to the local community.
Musicians and bands that become members of the CRBN will find increased networking opportunities with industry professionals, fellow musicians, blues fans and friends who share your love of the blues! Get involved with our Blues In The Schools Program and help foster a love of music and education for future generations... Host a CRBN Blues Jam ... Enter our annual Blues Challenge for a chance to win and travel to Memphis and represent our region in the Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge ... There is so much happening on our vibrant music scene! Artist Members also get increased publicity via a presence on our website and social media outlets. And don’t forget discounts from participating local music shops, venues, concerts and businesses! Donations and memberships are tax deductible.
