Blues In The Libraries
CRBN is pleased to announce that your generous donations have enabled us to provide the Albany County Library system with copies of Tas Cru’s new book, Bad Dog Bubba! Each library in Albany county will have its own copy for children to read.
Bad Dog Bubba is written for a 5th/6th grade level reader. It tells the story of Bubba, a bloodhound with a love of the blues, and his adventures with his dog pals Scooter and Sylvia. In the story Bubba tells his friends about his master, “Beau-Beau Blue Hat Bobbie”, a bona-fide Louisiana blues musician who has instilled his dog with a love for the blues. Bubba even writes a blues song of his own!
Books about blues music and history are an entertaining way for children to learn about this uniquely American art form. Shown accepting the donation of books is Lisa Neuman, Programming and Youth Services Manager at the Albany Public Library.
CRBN would like to thank our members and sponsors for making this possible – and Tas for writing this great book!
