Blues Books Donations to Rensselaer County Libraries

Recently, CRBN Board Member Margo Singer presented a collection of children's books on the blues to a number of libraries in Rensselaer County. Shown receiving the books are Leanna Sweet, Director of the Grafton Public Library, Sara Hopkins, Director of the Brunswick Public Library and Mary Klimack, Director of the North Greenbush Public Library.

We donated the complete three book series of Tas Cru’s “Bubba the Blues Hound” together with a copy of "Frankie Finds the Blues" by Joel Harper to each library.

CRBN is committed to providing literacy and enrichment opportunities to children through blues music. These book donations were funded through grants from the Stewart’s Foundation and the Golub Foundation.

In April, CRBN received a Merit Award from the Capital Region Thomas Edison Music Awards Program, recognizing the importance of this and other programs offered in the community by CRBN.
