7:30 pm on Sunday nights at McGeary’s in Albany. A host band plays an hour set, followed by the open jam. We play every week, with the exception of a few holiday weekends when most folks are away.

There is plenty of free parking available near McGeary’s on Sunday nights.
Option #1: Parking lot two doors over from McGeary’s.  Enter from Chapel St., behind McGeary’s.
Option #2: First Church parking lot off of Pearl St.  Enter from Chapel or Sheridan.  Parking is free on Sundays and the lot is usually empty.
Option #3: Street parking.  On Sunday nights there is plenty of street parking within a block of McGeary’s.

There’s no cover charge, but donations are *highly* encouraged. There’s a bucket at the front of the stage for donations and this goes directly to the host band, who brought their gear for you to use. $5 is the suggested donation. Throw in some extra if you’re feeling the love.

There’s a sign-up sheet, usually on the first table as you walk in. Get there early! We do our very best to ensure everyone gets up to join.

Everyone gets to play a 3-song set. Please don’t abuse this and make one of them a 20-minute jam. Be respectful of your fellow musicians that are waiting to play as well.

The jam master groups people together based on what instruments they play and a combination of people he thinks will play well together, whenever possible.
